Business Recognition Awards

JANUARY 2012

This year the Chamber presented Business Recognition Awards to six local businesses. The winners were Funtown-Splashtown USA, Reilly's Bakery, Jim Godbout Plumbing and Heating, Haley's Metal Shop, Blue Elephant Events and Catering and The Run of the Mill. The Chamber established these Business Recognition Awards as a small token way of saying Thank You to our business members. "Our communities have a lot to be proud of and Thankful for and these six businesses radiate the goodness and values we believe lift Biddeford-Saco to new heights."

Jim is very involved in the community and serves on several organizations such as Rotary, YMCA and the Biddeford Athletic Association. He also donates his time to support the local food pantries. In 2000 he bought and renovated an abandoned business into a business office and retail showroom. His business emphasizes diversity. They will work on just about anything that involves plumbing, heating air-conditioning, solar, geothermal, mechanical piping, gas piping, tank setting, refrigeration and general contracting. He is currently involved in building the new expansion of the Funtown-Splashtown Waterpark.

As an independent owner operator in the plumbing and heating trade for over 25 years, you might think that Jim wouldn't have time for anything else but business. Luckily we know that isn't true.

Jim godbout Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is currently doing the general contracting for a new water park expansion in Saco, Maine.
