Jim Godbout Plumbing & Heating Inc. has teamed up with Ascendant Energy from Rockland, Maine to install one of the largest solar thermal jobs in New England at Oakhurst Dairy in Portland, Maine.

Ascendant Energy is installing roof curbs and commercial panels from AES Solar.

Our company has the task of delivering the energy being produced (2.7 million BTU's during good solar day) from solar panels to Oakhurst Dairy's case washing and domestic hot water system.

We are using 2" type L copper, with the Viega high temperature Pro-Press system to pipe the 72 commercial panels installed by Ascendant Energy.

We are connecting panels with circuit setters and balancing valves to achieve proper flow at each panel.

System pumps shall be Wilo Stratos low energy pumps, with Resol differential controllers.

Storage tanks of 750 & 1500 gallons are STSS system with copper heat exchangers.

Three Geothermal systems with very unique wells to the industry. 1500 foot wells with shell and tube heat exchangers built in them, producing no less than 46 degrees on the coldest days of the year. We used Florida water to water heat pumps with Stadler Quick Trac radiant floor heating, Florida water to air heat pumps along with Wilo Stratos pumps to move water through large shell and tube we built in the ground.

Four Viessmann Vitodens 15-60 gas boilers for backup of Viessmann 240 tube Solar snowmelt system and domestic hot water for brew pub and banquet facility. Innovex control system for HVAC and snowmelt to be monitored & run via web site.

Remove large oil boiler in Saco, Maine office/ retail building and installed four Viessmann Vitodens 200 15-60 boilers on Viessmann rack system with Viessmann Cascade controller to modulate boilers on outside reset control.

Installed Viessmann Vitodens 200 propane direct vent boiler with American Standard Variable speed air handlers and American Standard 18 seer Heat pumps. - Kennebunk, Maine

Install Viessmann Vitola oil boiler, Viessmann Divicon station, Viessmann Vitoflame 100 burner with Viessmann 200 controller to modulate boiler on outside reset. Rehau plates under floor with Rehau pex tubing to Rehau header system. - Saco, Maine

Installed Viessmann Vitodens 200 propane direct vent boiler with American Standard Variable speed air handlers and American Standard 18 seer Heat pumps. This job also has Stadler Quick Trac radiant floor heating. - Kennebunkport, Maine

Installed Viessmann Vitodens 200 propane direct vent boiler, Stadler Quick Trac floor radiant heating, Biasi panel radiators on constant circulation with thermostatic heads. LG Art Cool split cooling system on second floor. - Saco, Maine

Funtown USA Park Expansion, Saco, Maine:
We are in charge of building Funtown USA's new water park expansion which includes one Tornado water slide and one Manmouth water slide.

We will be installing six 60 hp pumps to move approx. 8700 gallons per minute to one ride and 5900 gallons per minute to the other.

Piping shall be schedule 40 pvc with pressure fittings. This project is the largest and most complex our company has encountered, making sure concrete, steel, pool and all mechanicals are in proper location and safe working order.

MORE PROJECTS:
Currently working on many Viessmann solar installs such as Federal Jacks Brew pub in Kennebunkport to heat there hot water, Saco waste water treatment plant to heat there grit building with solar radiant, and a couple of residential install for domestic hot water.

We also recently completed the working heating showroom for our Wholesaler Coastal WinAir on rte one in Biddeford, which allows all of our customers get a first hand look at how these high efficiency units work.

We will be starting Federal Jacks Brew pub in Kennebunkport removing old HVAC system and installing American Standard variable speed condensing gas furnaces with heat pumps, providing them with comfort and huge energy savings.

Installing large Unico system in Cape Porpoise with Viesmann Vitola oil fired boiler and Dehoust dual lined fuel tank. In addition we installed a radiant heating system in the bathrooms.

Hadlock Field:
We are currently working on the installing new bathrooms at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine... home of the Portland Sea Dogs. They are expanding to meet the demands of their fans, and Jim Godbout has been chosen to assist in this expansion.

Biddeford Police Department, Biddeford, Maine:
Currently just completed a large HVAC project for the Biddeford Police department with American Standard heat pump roof top units with back up hydro coils piped from a pair of Viessmann Vitola boiler and Honeywell building control system.
