Supporting Charities and Local Organizations
Jim Godbout Plumbing & Heating proudly served as the in-kind general contractor for the remarkable transformation of St. Andre Church into the new My Place Teen Center in Biddeford. This $3.7 million project revitalized the historic 101-year-old structure that faced severe challenges including a collapsing east wall, leaking steeples, and significant water damage. Our team coordinated dozens of skilled craftspeople to meticulously restore the building's architectural features while modernizing its systems to meet today's needs. The renovated 9,800-square-foot center now provides a safe haven for local youth with daily meals, academic support, and life skills training.

The revitalization of a neglected Biddeford home, spearheaded by Superintendent Jeremy Ray and the Biddeford Saco Rotary Club, supported by businesses like Jim Godbout Plumbing & Heating, has transformed it into a community and educational landmark. This project provided practical learning for students and revitalized the neighborhood, establishing a model for future initiatives.

The Biddeford-Saco Rotary Club is spearheading this initiative, with Jim Godbout Plumbing & Heating partnering with other local companies on the installation. The splash pad will feature multiple water elements including rings, dumping buckets, a rain curtain, and a lighthouse feature designed to provide summer recreation for families and children of all abilities.

When the field was shuttered in 2017, Godbout organized over 300 volunteers who came together to dismantle 6,000 bleacher seats in a single day, demonstrating the community's commitment to preserving this important local landmark with Godbout noting that he "wanted the kids to have a safe space to play their fall sports". The renovation included installing new bleachers, lighting, an AstroTurf playing surface, storm drainage, fencing, a scoreboard, sound system, and press box with students never missing a season of play during the nine-month project.
