Thornton Academy's Linnell Gymnasium

Jim Godbout Plumbing and Heating completed an emergency boiler replacement project at Thornton Academy's Linnell Gymnasium in Saco, Maine. The project involved replacing two failed 2-million BTU Lochinvar gas boilers with two high-efficiency Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2-2000 condensing boilers, installed one at a time to maintain heating during cold weather. The new system features titanium-stabilized stainless steel heat exchangers with 97% efficiency, advanced digital controls with outdoor reset, and includes new Grundfos ECM boiler pumps, condensate neutralizers, and Tekmar sequencing controls, while utilizing existing domestic water tanks and expansion tanks to provide both heating and hot water for the facility.
